Responsibilities:

 

An opportunity exists in Stantec's Red Deer office for an Intermediate Structural Engineer. This office has over 130 people supporting our clients locally and across Canada. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing proposals and work plans.
  • Planning and designing concrete, steel and wood building structures.
  • Preparation of contract specifications.
  • Contract administration.
  • Supervision of junior engineering and technical staff.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • P.Eng. or eligibility for registration with APEGGA.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience including:
    • Structural design of steel and pre-stressed concrete bridges,
    • Design in concrete, steel, masonry and timber,
    • Structural assessment of bridges and bridge inventories,
    • Loading analysis,
    • Condition assessment,
    • Strategic planning.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation would be an asset.
