Responsibilities:

An opportunity exists for a highly organized Senior CAD Team Lead to join us as a key member of our dynamic team. Reporting to the Electrical Engineering leadership, you will have the following responsibilities:


• Completion of the set up, operation and maintenance of AutoCAD and related applications;

• Working with Stantec CAD Services to further develop standards and software customization;
• Understanding, using and adhering to Stantec CAD Standards;
• Supervision of AutoCAD drawing conventions and auditing electronic drawings
• Support for special projects and client directed standards.  Liaison with clients to implement specific CAD standards and related requirements as needed.
• Provide in-house AutoCAD problem solving
• Provide in-house technical support for plotting and electronic files submissions
• Technical assistance with the preparation of electrical engineering projects;
• Preparing plan, section, detail and schematic drawings



Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:


• A diploma from a recognized technical program, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology
• Minimum of 8-10 years related experience
• Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD software related to production of diverse electrical drawings
• Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
• Must demonstrate mature judgment and a positive team-oriented attitude
• Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities are required in this role
