Responsibilities:

 

Stantec in Calgary is currently seeking an Industrial Hygenist.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring the Indoor Environment team.
  • Conducting and reporting on hazardous materials assessments which may include asbestos, lead, PCB's, ozone depleting substances and mold.
  • Conducting, reporting and interpreting indoor air quality assessments.
  • Conducting, reporting and interpreting on hazardous materials abatement projects.
  • Liaising with and directing the work of hazardous materials abatement contractors.
  • Supporting Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Preparing proposals for various Indoor Environment projects.
  • Guide industrial hygiene staff.


Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in environmental sciences from a recognized post secondary institution.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist
  • Minimum of  2 to 3 years experience with progressively increasing responsibilities preferably in a consulting environment specifically in industrial hygiene and indoor environment.
  • Experience must include the following:
    • Leading technical teams of people
    • Business development
  • A strong desire to grow in your career with Stantec.
  • Registration as a Canadian Registered Safety Professionals would be considered an asset.
