Stantec’s Planning and Landscape Architecture group in Calgary is currently seeking a Public Consultation Consultant for a limited 9 month term. Our Public Consultation team provides professional public consultation, stakeholder engagement and facilitation services to a wide variety of community planning, infrastructure projects and policy development initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assisting writing proposals
- Develop and implement public consultation methodologies.
- Facilitate meeting and open houses.
- Lead open house and other public events.
- Document results of public consultation and the results will be included in reports and project summaries.
- Process management.
- Assisting in securing business development opportunities.

The successful candidate will possess: - A degree in a communications/community relations field from an accredited university or the combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Active membership in IAP2 or IABC will be deemed a benefit
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with:
- Public consultations
- Stakeholder engagement
- Meeting facilitation
- Excellent business writing skills
- Must be comfortable with public speaking, making presentations and hosting public events
- Although not required; business development experience would be considered an asset.
