The Victoria office is seeking a bright Senior Highways Engineer to join our successful multi-disciplinary engineering and architectural practice.  The right candidate will have a combination of technical skills in highway design projects as well as talent in project management and client relationship development.

A new opportunity exists for a Senior Highways Engineer to provide professional design and project management services for public, P3 and private sector projects.  We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with initiative to take on challenging projects and grow their career.

Interested candidate should have the following qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 10 years of highways and roadway related experience including design development, project management, engineering reviews of detailed design
• Experience leading design teams, providing leadership and mentorship to the team
• Preparation of tender documentation and contract management
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills and problem solving ability is essential in your work with multi-disciplinary team members and clients
• Solid writing skills required in preparing proposals, studies and report writing
• Experience with CAiCE a definite asset, Civil 3D experience required
• Familiarity with Ministry of Transportation standards and procedures is an asset
• P.Eng. or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in BC in one year or less is preferred; those who are not eligible as a Professional Engineer may be considered at a designer level
