Our Winnipeg Office has an opportunity for an Environmental Engineer/Project Engineer in our Environmental Infrastructure Group with a focus on either Water or Wastewater Treatment.


As the successful candidate, you will use your technical abilities to plan and design water and wastewater treatment facilities and appurtenances in a dynamic design team setting.

 

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to undertake wastewater and water infrastructure detailed design
  • Undertake wastewater and/or water system planning and design
  • Write reports and design briefs
  • Undertake detailed design of water and/or wastewater treatment plants and oversee the preparation of construction drawings
  • Liaise with clients and other consultants
  • Prepare economic analysis for wastewater and/or water infrastructure projects
  • Prepare construction specifications, tender documents, and applications for Approvals, etc.
  • Research issues related to wastewater and water resources that impact individual projects
  • Ensure that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner


Qualifications:
  • A Bachelors degree in Engineering with a background in water and/or wastewater treatment
  • A minimum 4-6 years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering
  • Registration, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Manitoba
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects
  • Computer literacy in word-processing and spreadsheet programs
