An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and organized Collections Assistant to become part of a dynamic Financial Services team. Working in conjunction with the Financial Manager, Collections Assistant Lead, Project Managers and Project Administrators, the successful candidate will be responsible for collection activities within the Winnipeg office. The position includes following up by telephone and/or e-mail on outstanding invoices, providing information to Project Managers and clients, documenting information obtained, performing credit checks, verifying trade references, reviewing A/R aging reports, and researching unapplied funds. Other duties would include new customer set-ups and ad hoc reporting.
As the ideal candidate, you have previous experience with "soft" collections and have worked with an enterprise database computer system. You will also have proficiency with Microsoft Office products, primarily Outlook, Excel and Word. You demonstrate the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy while juggling multiple tasks, and are able to adapt to rapidly changing demands. You are an enthusiastic team player with a positive customer service approach and possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills as well attention to detail. Your professional approach in working with both internal and external clients to help solve collection issues is essential. Must be able to perform well in a fast paced office environment.
