Your Opportunity:

We could design buildings just because we can, but we’d rather create places that inspire. Through our Architecture and Interior Design work, we challenge design ideas of the past to create spaces that foster a culture of collaboration—spaces that are designed for community.

We believe good design extends beyond the physical elements of a space—good design shapes our lives, influences our behaviors and interactions, and has purpose. We strive to design spaces that are meaningful and memorable for our communities. Join our team of creative professionals and work with us to create inspiring spaces for all.

Our approach to design is fundamentally collaborative and integrated with the other disciplines of our practice. We are interested in your “voice” within our team, and always strive to be a “voice” within the communities we engage with.

We value talent, commitment and passion for quality design, and are looking for like-minded individuals.

Your Duties:

We are seeking an innovative, passionate senior level Interior Designer or Interior Architect to assist in leading work in our Airport Concessions, Retail and Food & Beverage division.

Responsibilities include:

  • working closely with Senior Lead in overseeing RFP and concept development teams,
  • mentoring staff,
  • client relations,
  • fee development,
  • concept design,
  • presenting design solutions, and
  • building client relationships.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture with at least 10 years of experience in the Concessions and Retail sector
  • Highly proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Experience in leading small teams in a collaborative setting, while meeting schedules and budgets
  • Highly skilled conceptual ideation, rendering and presentation abilities
  • Excellent hand sketching is a definite asset
  • Strong understanding of  constructing project fees and project management
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritizing tasks among several concurrent projects to meet deadlines is essential
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, team driven, deadline based culture
  • True passion for creative design and all things retail

Stantec also offers tremendous opportunities for involvement with a wide range of clients and projects types around the globe.  We offer a competitive salary and benefits, and a great working environment. Some travel will be required.

You will be challenged and inspired – and never be bored!
