Our Buildings Engineering group has an immediate need for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with proven design skills, an understanding of Canadian Engineering practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 to 15 years post qualification experience. They will also have experience working on the design and construction of large healthcare and laboratory facilities in Canada.
As a successful candidate you will be joining an experienced multidisciplinary design team in our Edmonton office to work on projects. The role will be challenging, demanding, varied and a unique opportunity for skill set and career development. Working within the heart of the design team you will prepare a Development Standards Framework (DSF) for our major client. This will create a consistent platform for development control and compliance. The role will assist and guide design teams in statutory, regulatory and quality standards for numerous upcoming Healthcare facilities.
As the successful candidate your responsibilities may include but are not limited to: expertise in the design of healthcare and laboratory buildings, advocate for design excellence, good communication abilities, project management, clinical planning and strong BIM and graphic skills.
