Our Project Delivery Office (PDO) is an overarching group whose mandate is to continuously improve Stantec’s project delivery by supporting all business lines with their project delivery challenges, while also continuing to grow Stantec’s externally focused Program & Project Management business.

We are looking fo a Junior Project Coordintor, to jon our team in Vancouver.

 

Your Duties

Superior interpersonal, presentation and writing skills are essential in working effectively with clients and project team members.  

 

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Providing administrative support in the preparation of reports and frequent presentations to the client;
  • Managing the project calendar and calendars for the senior management;
  • Scheduling meetings and booking conference rooms for regular meetings.;
  • Administrative support for all of the in-house sub consultants (preparing/printing documents, pulling reports);
  • Supporting the Project Controls Lead in retrieval of monthly invoices, paperwork and preparation of the monthly invoices;
  • Supporting the Project Coordinators in the retrieval of monthly status reports and design deliverables from the discipline leads and respective sub consultants;
  • Providing Document Controller with admin support in filing, maintenance of deliverable matrix, ProjectWise administration etc.; and
  • Coordinating regular meetings between design team and client team.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

As the successful candidate, you will possess and have demonstrated the following qualifications: 

  • Completion of a diploma or degree, preferably in business or a technical field;
  • A minimum of 1 year of related experience, such as with a design firm, construction, project controls related work; 
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (creating presentations, slide decks);
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills

 

The following are preferred, though not required:

  • Experience with standard project management methodologies and tools such as Primavera, MS Project, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Interest in learning operation Project Management tasks and potentially growing into a Project Manager role.
