An opportunity exists for a successful candidate to lead our Ontario North and East Region in the role of Regional Leader (RL). The region has approximately 400 team members across three offices located in Ottawa, Sudbury and North Bay.
The Regional Leader will work closely with our leadership teams and be accountable for the region’s operations management, local delivery of professional services and financial performance. He/She must have proven ability to attract and retain key people within the organization and have a good reputation within the industry.
He/She, along with the business partners, will optimize Stantec’s core business processes, introduce innovative ideas, and foster operational excellence across the business lines. He/She must work well within collaborative teams across Stantec to maximize opportunities within the overall Stantec client base. He/She is expected to maintain contact with key clients in the region by taking part in business development activities and community engagement initiatives.
The RL reports directly to the Geographic Leader (GL) and personal utilization targets for the RL will be set in consultation with the GL.
The RL is also responsible for:
o Consistency of salaries across BCs, from a regional perspective,
o Overseeing the operations of, and lease considerations for the office locations related to the respective BCs,
o Decisions, initiation and approval of employee retention activities,
o Activities related to health and safety within the office and BCs,
o Decisions and initiation of coordinated Community Engagement programs,
o Appearances in the community representing Stantec,
o Being the Stantec representative for all multi-practice initiatives in the community.
